Workorders
Introduction
A work order records a description of repair work to be done. For
example, a property manager will typically issue work orders for its
vendors, the contractors that do the repair jobs.
The Gnosio
workorder module
provides a means for tracking work orders in a
central, on-line database accessible via the web. It provides benefits
over paper/ad hoc systems including better reporting, better access to
information, checking that work orders are submitted correctly, higher
workforce productivity.
Adding Workorders
Once you log in, you can add workorders in the New Workorder Form
Adding Vendors
On the New Workorder Form, there is a link to "Vendor Database", there is a link on that page to the Add New Vendor Form
Permissions
Any user can create a workorder.
A user can view/edit an existing workorder if at least one of the following is true:
- the user is a site wide administrator
- the user is in the authorized users group
- the user created the workorder themselves
- the workorder is assigned to a vendor group that the user is a member of
