OperationsGnosio's Internet servers are hosted by rackspace.com. John and Eric work from home offices. They work in HTML directly on these servers via SSH or Telnet. All Gnosio documents are kept on the Rackspace servers; including the service agreement, the business plan, the instruction manuals, the sales contact pipeline, the accounting, the CRM, and the marketing copy.In fact, Gnosio takes the hosted application model to new heights because we demonstrate that a completely virtual office is possible. Every Gnosio document is acessable from any internetworked computer in the world. As a matter of principle, we blaze the new "hosted application" trail, and we aspire to keep our email attachment free. Therefore, we almost never use products like Excel, Windows, Word, or PowerPoint. All documents are maintained under CVS version control software. Our open source software is proven and tested enterprise level tool box of applications. It is written in the Tcl programming language. We run OpenACS on free linux operating system and we use a free database called Postgres. All our software is maintained and developed by the open source community. Whenever a customer asks us a question, we write the answer in such a way that it will answer everyone who ever asks that question again -- and we put that answer into our user manual. Of course, please ask us a question about Gnosio now so that we canfind the answer and add it to this business plan or to our user manuals.
