About Gnosio
We stumbled on the word Gnosio after watching a movie called Headwig and the Angry Inch. John remembered that gnosis is the Greek word for knowledge. That sounded good but the domain name was taken. So Eric suggested Gnosio, which got a good laugh. Later, he started babbling about a web site that claimed that Ghandi spoke of gnosis, not simply as knowledge, but as sudden realization changing ones current perspective into a perspective that is more truthful -- wow -- by then we were hooked. Gnosio didn't seem so funny any more.
Founded by John Lowry and Eric Wolfram, Gnosio, A California Corporation, is located South of Market Street in San Francisco. And remember, Ghandi said, it is not simply that gnosis = knowledge. He said that gnosis is an inward "flash of light," or an enlightened moment. So we say Gnosio exists to help our customers reach such a "flash of light." Now doesn't that sound good?
